Ultrasound International Open (UIO) is an Open Access journal in the field of interdisciplinary ultrasound in medicine and biology. It publishes original contributions reporting on new developments from a variety of disciplines on the diagnostic and therapeutic applications of ultrasound, with an emphasis on clinical applications. Technical papers with a physiological theme as well as the interaction between ultrasound and biological systems are also considered for publication. UIO publishes original and review articles as well as rapid communications, contributions on technical developments, case reports, pictorial essays and letters to the editor. Submission and additional publication of video material is welcome.
